Practicing Wellness When You Travel...


Hey there lovely! I hope you are doing fabulous today. On the blog today I will be talking about how to practice wellness when you travel.


I just got back from a weeklong solo trip to Nashville, Tennessee and all I can say is WOWZA!! I cannot recommend traveling alone enough. The flexibility to do whatever you want and the change of scenery that helps you reconnect with yourself is absolutely fantastic. But, I wanted to share some snippets of advice on how to practice wellness when you are traveling and it may be harder to do so.


  1. Keep using your essential oils. I know you may not want to pack them but I can confidently say that me brining my "Relax" Rowe Casa drops was an excellent decision.

  2. Don't stop doing your evening routine. I'm notoriously terrible about doing this, but I made a point of sticking with my evening routine more times than not during this past week and my mentality thanked me. Even though you're on vacation, it is still SO important to check in with yourself at the end of each day!

  3. Stay active. This one can be challenging but I implore you to heed it. Whether you do a quick yoga flow when you wake up or before you go to sleep, or you make use of the gym at your hotel, or even if you decide to walk more places instead of driving, all of those are great options and if you're like me, it helps avoid the guilt of knowing you had the opportunity to work out but didn't.

I executed all three of these pieces of advice during my trip and I can confidently say it kept my mental and physical health in tip-top shape! If you have never taken a trip alone, I can't recommend it enough. It truly is an amazing chance to truly be with yourself, to be more in tune with yourself, and it helps you determine your travel style without the pressure of another person's wants and opinions needing to be factored in. It doesn't even need to be a whole week like my trip was, it can just be a weekend but I urge you to take the leap and try it... it was one of the best experiences of my life and I will definitely be doing it again.
